ABOUT THINKING ALLOWED !

This class is where you join me in what I hope will be the continuing busting of the myth that there is any part of us humans that isn't 'allowed' and for this class I will be focusing on our thinking forms and processes.  I will present teaching around the content and energy in our thoughts in the context of 'what happened to us' at the hands of a society that is innately inhospitable to the fullness of what it is to be a human mammal. I will support you to build an empathic relationship with this aspect of your life force that enables you to hear the intelligence within them in order to build a warmer more relaxed self-connection and empowered relationship to them when faced with life's challenges

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLASS?

Ultimately, the purpose of this class is to support you towards a greater sense of inner and outer peace through ending any 'enemy image' you have about what's referred to as 'negative' thoughts.  To end that particular avenue of self-abandonment through trying to silence them, override them or meditate them way. That they are not something to 'overcome' and their intention is not to 'hold you back'. We are even told to practice 'gratitude' as a tool to get them to shut up. Thing is, in my experience, they just come back and louder, until I hear their innate message about my wellbeing. 

 

Through my years of work exploring and practicing needs based intelligence through empathic presence I will present that they are simply the transmitter of information to you about what happened to you and about your wellbeing. That they are actually an invitation to connect with their rich intelligence that wants to speak with you about your needs in order to support your life and protect your wellbeing.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?

This class will:

  • Explore the origins of 'negative' thoughts

  • Why it's painful to hear them and bring our conscious awareness to them 

  • The purpose of 'negative' thoughts - they are on a mission to help you!

  • Addressing terms such as 'overthinking and ruminating'

  • Why attempting to 'stop' them increases emotional and mental anguish

  • The purpose of and how to build an empathic relationship with them

  • Teach the skill of self-connection when these thoughts are activated to address the painful strategy of dissociation

  • Building a sense of embodied empathy and integration of these aspects of your life force

  • Understanding the held grief within these painful thoughts that is asking for your accompaniment


WHAT SKILLS WILL YOU LEARN?
 

  • Empathic self-connection - your innate right-brained skill that supports you to tend to your emotional and mental suffering and to re-wire you back into loving self-connection. 

  • Identifying cyclical core beliefs, bringing empathic unconditional presence to them in order to access their innate intelligence about your wellbeing

  • Noticing and hearing established beliefs and their associated painful charge in order to bring them and their vital energy into you daily task of self-acceptance and understanding

  • Through hearing and tending to painful thoughts identifying your needs in order to ease emotional and mental suffering

  • Identifying your needs (which all thoughts point to) in order to access your vitality and through that increased motivation and agency in your life

  • Ultimately - growing the skill of self trust, that all that rises through your nervous system is a messenger to support you to take care of your wellbeing, to connect you to an innate knowing that you have the knowledge and skill and capacity to meet life's challenges

WHO IS THIS CLASS DESIGNED FOR ?

This class is for you if:

  • You are feeling exhausted and exasperated by painful cyclical thoughts and would like to understand them

  • Would like to understand the purpose of this cyclical thinking

  • Wonder why you have critical thoughts towards yourself and others

  • Have found ignoring, questioning and pushing away these thought cycles doesn't work or increases emotional pain levels

  • Are longing for times of ease and rest and spaciousness amongst this activation in your nervous system

  • Would like to feel more life energy and more motivated to build the life and enter the creative flow you long for

  • You would like to do something to quieten these 'negative' thoughts

The class covers:

  • Understanding the origins of 'negative' thoughts and core beliefs

  • Understanding why they come accompanied with emotional suffering and mental anguish - anxiety, panic, depression, fear - and how to accompany those feelings through empathic skill

  • Introducing the innate empathic skill that makes what has been identified as something to 'get rid of' into something that is in fact life serving and brings innate intelligence about your wellbeing

  • How bringing conscious awareness to your 'inner critic' connects to your vitality and a sense of empowerment

  • Understanding how our 'negative' thoughts are speaking to you about healthy boundary making

  • Skill of empathic self-connection which eases the nervous activation in the painful states that accompany them and connects you to knowing what you need

  • Awakening consciousness of 'negative' thoughts in order to access your vitality at their roots
